Rode most of the way home from church today with the front windows down and the moonroof open. Loved it.

Eph 4

29 01 2006

Almighty and everlasting God, you govern all things both in heaven and on earth: Mercifully hear the supplications of your people, and in our time grant us your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

So are the Steel kids. I was talking to Jeff online today about his blog when Rhea and the kids got home. Our webcams were on, hellos said, waves performed, and tears cried (me and Rhea). I so want to go see them this summer.

New design

The pic in the background is Michelangelo’s Pieta. Scroll all the way down to the bottom to see the whole thing. I’m also putting a screen shot here so when I look at this post 6 months after I get rid of the design, I’ll know what I was talking about.

Awesome chicken marinade here and try not to set off the smoke alarms when you burn the toast.

Eph 3

22 01 2006

Give us grace, O Lord, to answer readily the call of our Savior Jesus Christ and proclaim to all people the Good News of his salvation, that we and the whole world may perceive the glory of his marvelous works; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Psalm 130 De profundis
Out of the depths have I called to you, O LORD;
LORD, hear my voice; *
let your ears consider well the voice of my supplication.
If you, LORD, were to note what is done amiss, *
O Lord, who could stand?
For there is forgiveness with you; *
therefore you shall be feared.
I wait for the LORD; my soul waits for him; *
in his word is my hope.
My soul waits for the LORD,
more than watchmen for the morning, *
more than watchmen for the morning.
O Israel, wait for the LORD, *
for with the LORD there is mercy;
With him there is plenteous redemption, *
and he shall redeem Israel from all their sins

Update

9 01 2006

Well I’m back. Things are going good. Still working graveyards, BUT there is a great opportunity opening at the plant. The production clerk has left and I’m going to shoot for it. I talked to my superintendent this morning, and I think he’s going to give me a good recommendation! Yay! Finally! A day job!
Christmas and everything went good.
Found out this weekend that my youngest nephew Jacob has petit mal epilepsy. He’s doing good, and we’re all hoping he’ll grow out of it.
Not much else to report.

The Baptism of our Lord

8 01 2006

Father in heaven, who at the baptism of Jesus in the River Jordan proclaimed him your beloved Son and anointed him with the Holy Spirit: Grant that all who are baptized into his Name may keep the covenant they have made, and boldly confess him as Lord and Savior; who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. Amen.

Acts 10:34-38
Peter began to speak to Cornelius and his relatives and close friends: “I truly understand that God shows no partiality, but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him. You know the message he sent to the people of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ– he is Lord of all. That message spread throughout Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John announced: how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; how he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
